1st Sunday Bird Walks. Sundays, December 4, January 1, February 5 and March 4, 9:00-11:00 am. At Greenwich Point Park. A monthly bird walk along the Long Island Sound shore. Leaders will bring spotting scopes and help everyone locate and ID wintering birds in the rich variety of habitats at Greenwich Point. All ages and beginners welcome. The Butter Battle Tale and Stone Soup. January 28, 29, February 4 and 5, 3:00- 5:00 pm. Celebrating its sixth consecutive season, The Children`s Theatre Company of Peekskill will present a double musical treat, appropriate for children and adults, which includes: The Butter Battle Tale, a musical adaptation by Lory Lazarus, based on the Butter Battle Book by Dr. Seuss with music and lyrics by Lori Lazarus; and Stone Soup, an adaption by Mehr Mansuri and Jill Bolstridge with Music and Lyrics by Frank Sanchez & Mehr Mansuri in collaboration with Lory Lazarus. The 36th Annual Miniature, Dollhouse & Art Exhibition: Creativity! Wednesdays-Sundays, 12:00-4:00 pm thru Sunday, February 26, 2012. Wolf Tails for Kids - Mythology of a Predator. February 5, 11 and 23, 11:00 am. Therapies Series: Yoga. Sunday, February 5, 12:30-1:45 pm. Location: Scarsdale Public Library, Olmsted Road, Scarsdale, NY 10583. A parent/child activity led by Nora LeMorin. Nora presents yoga sessions at the library. She will explain the benefits of yoga for all, with emphasis on the differently-abled. You and your child will experience a fun and eye-opening yoga session, followed by a Q & A. Nora Nirmala LeMorin is a certified Integral Yoga Hatha teacher with almost 20 years of experience. Nora began teaching yoga to children in 1998. Both personally and professionally she has an affinity for kids "on the spectrum." A few suggestions: Do not eat a heavy meal, prior to yoga practice.
